A call for joint project proposals within the framework of the MIT-Czech Republic Seed Fund is open until 12 December 2023. The call is open to all scientific disciplines.

The program was established in collaboration between MIT, the CAS, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS, and its subsidiary, IOCB Tech. Now it is funded by the IOCB Tech Foundation, which supports the program with USD 100.000 for the next year.

The MIT-Czech Republic Seed Fund supports early-stage collaborations between scientists from Czech-based universities and research institutions and those from MIT, that are not covered by standard grant support.

The funds will be distributed among three to five new collaborations (maximum award is $25,000) and can cover travel and accommodation costs associated with working meetings and research internships. Successful applicants will be chosen by April 2024, and the first trips will be possible in June 2024.

To provide more information, an online information session on the MIT-Czech Republic Seed Fund is planned for 2 October 2023, 4 pm CET (10 am EDT) for researchers interested in the cooperation. Lear more about the info session and submitting project proposals here.
